Home Sales Driving the Economy

Attached is a Wall Street Journal article from this week that could be worth passing on to your clients or sphere.
The housing market, which was blamed for the economic recession starting over five years ago, is now to thank for signs of "recovery". "Housing seems unfazed by the uncertainty that is plaguing other parts of the economy" says one economist and "an improving housing market is buoying customers’ spirits and spurring spending". Rising home prices in the Central Valley (and Nationally) are giving homeowners a rejuvenated sense of household wealth and thus a willingness to spend in other areas.
At the end of the day, with historically low interest rates, now is a great time to buy and rising prices have put sellers in the best position in 4 years!
Let’s keep working as we enjoy the holidays!
Good luck!

Congressional Representative

Greetings!

Attached is a list of Congressional Representatives for our local areas.  I wanted to make it easy for anyone to send in a letter requesting an extension of the Mortgage Debt Forgiveness Relief Act that is set to expire 12/31/12.

As a reminder of a few points, I'm also attaching the editorial that ran in the Fresno Bee last weekend.

Thanks!

Protect Yourself from Home Loan and Foreclosure Rescue Scams

Good morning!
Attached is a “News Flash” from the DRE regarding fraud in non-English speaking sectors.  Obviously, however, as a whole, fraud and scams do not discriminate – they reach every population.
1.       This is important information to know and to pass on to clients and the public.
2.       On the third page is a link to what the DRE says,
“Make certain that you get and closely read the Spanish-language version of the follow consumer alert published by the California Department of Real Estate”

Thank you for your attention to this,
